– State funding has been awarded to Quincy Township for expansion of its municipal park, according to Rep. Paul Schemel (R-Franklin). The grant program is administered by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).
The township will use the $25,400 grant toward the acquisition of approximately 6 acres adjacent to the park.
“I strongly support this park expansion project in view of the recreational opportunities and positive benefits this investment will provide to the Waynesboro community and its citizens,” said Schemel.
DCNR awarded a total of $50 million for 280 projects across Pennsylvania that will create new recreational opportunities, conserve natural resources and help revitalize local communities.
