WAYNESBORO – State Rep. Paul Schemel (R-Franklin) will address the concept of universal preschool during a town hall meeting Thursday.
Schemel will talk about initiatives underway in the Legislature, including House Bill 641 to implement full-day kindergarten as a formal component of basic education.
Schemel will answer questions presented by attendees.
“Town hall meetings like this one help me hear directly from people in the 90th District,” Schemel said. “Education is a topic important to many families, and studies show time and time again that early childhood education affects a student’s future success.”
The town hall meeting will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Cumberland Valley Christian School, 600 Miller St., Chambersburg.
