HARRISBURG – In their continuing effort to better inform area gun owners regarding Pennsylvania’s firearms laws, Reps. Paul Schemel (R-Franklin) and Adam Harris (R-Franklin/Juniata/Mifflin) are co-hosting a Concealed Carry Seminar on Saturday, Sept. 16.

The free event will take place from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club, 3725 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg.

Attorney Matt Menges, who speaks regularly on the subject of firearms law, will conduct the seminar and answer questions.

“These seminars are always well attended because they are a great way for gun owners to learn more about their rights,” said Schemel. “I encourage anyone with questions about Pennsylvania’s current firearms laws to join us.”

“Matt Menges is a very knowledgeable on these issues and explains them in an easy-to-understand way,” Harris added. “He will focus on how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm and the legal aspects of the Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary when threatened by an armed intruder.”

Seating is limited. Attendees are asked to contact Schemel’s district office at (717) 749-7384 to reserve a seat at the seminar, or they can register online at RepSchemel.com.
