WAYNESBORO – Rep. Paul Schemel (R-Franklin) would like to remind area residents that he is hosting a town hall meeting on Thursday, May 17, that will focus on veterans’ issues. Paul Devincenzo, a department service officer with the American Legion, will be on hand to answer questions regarding veterans’ benefits.

The free event will take place at American Legion Post 373, 254 S. Carlisle St. in Greencastle, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

“Veterans and their family members are encouraged to attend my next town hall meeting to discuss issues of importance to them and learn about any programs or services that may be of assistance,” said Schemel.

Other upcoming events hosted by Schemel include:

  • Costars Workshop for municipalities and non-profit organizations about taking advantage of state contracts and government surplus. Thursday, May 24, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Lilian Besore Memorial Library, 305 E. Baltimore St. in Greencastle.
  • Telephone town hall meeting on Thursday, July 12, from 7-8 p.m. to provide an update from the Capitol on the proposed 2018-19 state budget.
